Lead! Lead! LEAD!

Hello friends, I want to introduce myself. My name is Nadya Ayu Lestari. You can call me NAdya, Ayu, or Nayu, well whatever you want. I was born in Bandung on 24th May 1997. My parent has 2 children, me and my brother, and I am the oldest one. I live in Kopo Permai, near Cibaduyut, South Bandung. I am studying on second grade in 3 senior high school.

Now, I want to say, I am running for student council president here at SMA 3 Bandung.

As we have already known student council or we called it OSIS in Bandung usually has the number of member about 36 students from every school. But, in SMA 3 it's a little bit different. We can take more than 40 students to be member and be part of our student council. Why could it be? Because we made the structure of student council is not just for formality but also for our needs and our wants.
If I am selected student council president, first I want to make the relationship between the member of student council not only just like a work partner but also we can be a family which always there in every situation, help each other, and share something together. Then I wanna make all of the student feel happy and enjoy, make them think that senior high school is the best moment ever in their life. The point is I want to make Senior high school life was the best experience ever. I will make good communication to all activity in SMA 3, while your activity and your community is good and could improve your achievement, me and all of member of student council will support you.

So i hope you can choose me be your Student Council President.
Thank you and I look forward to your votes.

Inspirational Story

Happy Sunday Night Guys!
In this dark sweet night, I wanna share an inspirational story. Actually it's what I have to do, but I don't have any inspirational story which I really like, so I just wanna share you a really short story. A children story. Imagination. But, if you read it with your heart, you'll get that it's a heart touching inspirational story. So now, just take a look, and happy reading!

Our Apple Tree
A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, and took a nap under the shadow.
He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.
“Come and play with me”, the tree asked the boy.
“I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more” the boy replied.
“I want toys. I need money to buy them.”
“Sorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.”
The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.
“Come and play with me” the tree said.
“I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?”
“Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.
“Come and play with me!” the tree said.
“I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man.
“Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.”
So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you”, the tree said. “No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” the
man replied.
“No more trunk for you to climb on.” “I am too old for that now” the man said. “I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots,” the tree said with tears.
“I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years,” the man replied.
“Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest.” The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

Well guys, it isn't hard to read, is it? So what do you think? Do you think the tree is about our close friend? Or about somebody you don't even know who but has a good heart?
Have you ever think that story tells us about our parent? Well that is exactly the purpose. The tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad. When we grow up, we leave them, only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy even though it makes them hurt.
You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted, we don’t appreciate all they do for us, until it’s too late.
So guys, treat your parents with loving care…. For you will know their value, when you see their empty chair…We never know the love of our parents  for us; till we have become parents .

HOLIDAY

So there were soooo many holidays which always come together with many homeworks. But, it's okay I can understand, all of the teachers don't want us to forget them, so they gave us many homeworks to do to make us always remember them while we're having holiday.

Now I wanna tell you one of my holidays in this year. A few weeks ago, before Turbud, me and my family went to Pangandaran beach. Fyi, we had no plan, it does just like a suddenly trip. On a shining Friday morning, my father just knew that Monday was holiday, and then he just say 'Hey all, Monday is holiday, let's go to Pangandaran tomorrow!' WHAT?! And like he had said, On Saturday we went to Pangandaran. It took 7 hours to go there because there was a traffic jam everywhere. So, finally we arrived at 10 O'clock, but there was still crowded, because we were so hungry, we just parked the car in front of our hotel, then we walked for looking for food. After eating, we went to hotel and slept, we didn't change our clothes, we're so tired so we just thought about sleep, sleep, and sleep.

Next day, we just walked around on west beach, drank coconut water, played on beach, or just sat on a wood chair, but i think it was wood table.

 In Warung Coconut hehehe

Then in the noon, we went to cagar alam, walk trough until we faound White Sand. Most of the people chose to use little ship from west beach, I don't know what it's called, which could bring about 7 until 10 passengers. There were many ships there waited for the passengers to go back to west beach.

On White Sand (Pasir Putih) :)))

In Cagar Alam

In the night, we went to East Beach to look for dinner place. In East Beach most of restaurants served seafood. I love it, a lot. My mom looked for dry salty fish like jambal roti. And then we went back to hotel

The third day, we just walked around just until 12 O'clock, my brother made temporary tatto, then we checked out and back to Bandung. Ah, for your information, the traffic was really really bad. I really left Pangan daran at 3 p.m, and I arrived in my home at 2 a.m.

 The tatoo was being made

Social Media

Happy Friday!
Hi reader, do you know about twitter? Facebook? Line?
No one doesn't know it, does it. Yeah, those are social media which are really famous in this time. But, have you ever thought about negative and positive things about it? I'm not sure if those things have more positive things than negative.
Why?

New York University Scholarship

Hi guys, I have an interesting information for you! Please read it, this is really useful for you who really want to continue studying to New York University.
Happy reading!

The applications described below are the forms you must submit for any and all types of financial aid we award at NYU, including all need-based and merit-based scholarships.
Applicants to NYU's New York Campus
Domestic Students: Students who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens and who wish to be considered for financial aid when applying for admission to NYU New York should complete (1) the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), (2) the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE, and (3) for New York State residents only, the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) grant application.  Admission to NYU New York is need-blind for domestic applicants, and financial support will be tailored for each individual family based upon the results of the FAFSA, PROFILE and TAP applications.
The CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE is required for new undergraduate domestic students applying for the 2014-2015 academic year.  It is not required for transfer applicants, returning undergraduate students, graduate students, or adult students applying to The Paul McGhee Division at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
International Students:  NYU offers limited financial support in the form of institutional grants/scholarships to international freshmen admitted to our New York campus beginning with the Fall 2013 term.  Grants/scholarships will be based upon a combination of financial need and academic merit.  Students who are not U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens and who wish to be considered for financial aid when applying for admission to the NYU New York campus should complete ONLY the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.  International students cannot apply for financial support after they are admitted.  Admission to NYU New York is need-aware for international applicants; New York University will consider a family's financial need as reported on the PROFILE when evaluating the student's application for admission.
Applicants to NYU's Abu Dhabi Campus
All students, regardless of citizenship status (except Emirati nationals), who are applying for admission ONLY to NYU Abu Dhabi (that is, they do not wish to be considered for any other NYU campus) need to complete ONLY the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE to be considered for financial support.  (The CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE is not required for Emirati nationals, who will be automatically evaluated for Exceptional Emirati Scholarship upon acceptance.)  International students cannot apply for financial support after they are admitted.  Admission to NYU Abu Dhabi is need-blind for all applicants, and financial support will be tailored for each individual family based upon the results of the PROFILE. Students applying ONLY to NYU Abu Dhabi are not required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
For more information please see NYU Abu Dhabi Financial Support.
Applicants to NYU's Shanghai Campus
Domestic Students: Students who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens and who wish to be considered for financial aid when applying for admission to NYU Shanghai should complete (1) the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and (2) the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.  Admission to NYU Shanghai is need-blind, and financial support will be tailored for each individual family based upon the results of the FAFSA and PROFILE.
International Students and Chinese Nationals: Students who are not U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens and who wish to be considered for financial aid when applying for admission to the NYU Shanghai campus should complete ONLY the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.  The PROFILE isnot required for Chinese nationals who complete the Gaokao college entrance examination instead of the SAT college admission test.  International students cannot apply for financial support after they are admitted.  Admission to NYU Shanghai is need-blind, and financial support will be tailored for each indivdual family based upon the results of the PROFILE.
For more information please see NYU Shanghai/Financial Aid.

1.  College Scholarship Service Financial Aid PROFILE

The CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE application is administered by the College Scholarship Service (the financial aid division of The College Board) and collects information used by many private universities to award institutional (non-government) financial aid funds.
The CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE can be submitted in the fall as early as October 1, but not later than February 15 (12:00 midnight EST).
  • Click here to begin and submit the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.
  • REQUIRED the first year for new undergraduate U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens applying to NYU New York campus.
  • NOT REQUIRED for U.S. citizen and eligible non-citizen returning undergraduate students, transfer students, and graduate students at NYU New York campus, or adult students applying to The Paul McGhee Division at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies, New York campus.
  • REQUIRED every year for international students at NYU New York campus.
  • REQUIRED every year for all students at NYU Abu Dhabi.  (NOTE: it is not required for Emirati nationals, who will be automatically evaluated for Exceptional Emirati Scholarship upon acceptance.)
  • REQUIRED every year for all students at NYU Shanghai.  (NOTE: it is not required for Chinese nationals who complete the Gaokao college entrance examination instead of the SAT college admission test).
  • You must list "New York University" as a recipient and include our CSS school code number 2785 when completing your CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.
  • Do not wait until your taxes are done before submitting the PROFILE.  Although it is better to do your taxes early, it is acceptable to use estimates of your income when you initially file the PROFILE.
  • NYU does not participate in the CSS IDOC program.
  • CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE Help: telephone 305-829-9793.
Our CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE deadlines for Freshmen applicants:
Early Decision I:November 15 (12:00 midnight EST)
Early Decision II:January 15 (12:00 midnight EST)
Regular Decision:February 15 (12:00 midnight EST)
IMPORTANT: The deadline for the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE application will be extended an additional 5 days if non-custodial parent information is necessary for completion.
The CSS Noncustodial PROFILE is also required, if applicable;
  • Students who have families with separated, divorced, or single parents must also complete the Non-Custodial Parent form, which complements the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.  NYU requires noncustodial parents to report their income, assets and other information as part of the financial aid application process to assess an applicant’s eligibility for scholarship or other types of aid.
  • Providing such information does not necessarily mean that the student’s noncustodial parent will be expected or required to contribute to educational costs.
  • Under certain circumstances NYU will consider waiving the requirement for the CSS Noncustodial PROFILE in the event the information cannot be obtained.  Please see the CSS Noncustodial PROFILE Waiver Request form available (October to February) on the Applications and Forms menu in the column at right.
  • If the CSS Noncustodial PROFILE is required but not submitted, and NYU does not grant the applicant a waiver of this requirement, the student will not be considered for need-based NYU scholarship or grant funds. Please note that this is important because the amount of scholarship a student receives in their first year at NYU is typically the amount they will continue to receive each year if they remain otherwise eligible. Thus, if a student does not receive any NYU grant or scholarship in their freshman year they will likely not receive any in subsequent years. Failing to submit the CSS Noncustodial PROFILE (or the waiver request) for the first year can therefore affect eligibility in future years.
Our CSS Noncustodial PROFILE deadlines for Freshmen applicants:
Early Decision I:November 20 (12:00 midnight EST)
Early Decision II:January 20 (12:00 midnight EST)
Regular Decision:February 20 (12:00 midnight EST)

2.  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a confidential fiinancial statement detailing information about your family’s financial circumstances. When you have completed the form, you submit it directly to the U.S. Department of Education. Using a formula mandated by Congress, the U.S. Department of Education makes an evaluation of your family’s financial strength and estimates the amount your family can contribute annually toward your educational expenses. The Department of Education then sends your family’s financial information and its estimate of family contribution to each college you designate to receive the information. (NOTE TO DENTAL STUDENTS: College of Dentistry students seeking certain federal education loans for the health professions (e.g. the Health Professions Student Loan [HPSL] and Loans for Disadvantaged Students [LDS]) must include parents financial data on the FAFSA even if they are financially independent of their parents.)
The FAFSA is available each year beginning January 1, and should be completed as soon as possible, but not later than February 15 (12:00 midnight EST) for new freshmen, and not later than April 1 (12:00 midnight EDT) for most other students (see Financial Aid Application Deadlines at column upper right for details).  Graduate students should refer to their school or department for specific program deadlines.

  • REQUIRED every year for U.S. citizen and eligible non-citizen undergraduate students, transfer students, and graduate students at NYU Shanghai.
  • NOT REQUIRED for international students at NYU New York campus.
  • NOT REQUIRED for students at NYU Abu Dhabi.
  • NOT REQUIRED for international students and Chinese nationals at NYU Shanghai.
  • You must list "New York University" as a recipient and include our federal school code number 002785 when completing your FAFSA.  NOTE: Students applying to the Polytechnic School of Engineering for spring 2014 should use the federal school code number 002796.
